breath lines in chant music

Message:I need to put breath indications on chant music scores. There are no bar lines, but there are the occational short vertical line at the top of the staff to indicate where the singers pause. Is there a feature that would allow me to draw a short vertical line at random. Or can selected barlines be manipulated?
