Can anyone help??

RE: Allegro [purchased April 2002]
I have been using Allegro, but I have been a bit frustrated doing what I need to do, in the small amount of time I can devote to the program. My question is, would Print Music cut the learning time down a bit and do what I need it to do?
I need to be able to import/input (say) a contempory Christian song like: "His Strength Is Perfect" (by Steven Curtis Chapman) in 'hymnbook format.' This would be approximately 32 measures with the notes kept tight (and nothing extra)...thus fitting on one page (or two at the most).
What is the quickest way to input such a song into hymnbook format? Should I use a scanner, and delete the extra notes and/or measures in the original printing? Should I try PrintMusic rather than Allegro?
I appreciate your help,
Sincerely,
NA. Clark
