Re: Re: Whole rests in 3/4 time
Message:To answer your question of why I would want to enter a whole rest, since the default rests will print out, I should have went into more detail in my original question.I was writing a drum part, with the snare, cymbals, etc. in layer 1, and the bass drum line in layer 2. I was wanting to indicate in layer 2, the bass drum line, that there was nothing to be played in that measure, so therefore I wanted to enter a whole rest into layer 2. That's when I discovered that I could not enter a whole rest. Without entering a whole rest in layer 2, nothing would print out at all for that layer, so therefore I wanted to enter a whole rest, rather than leave the bass drum measure in layer 2 blank. Does that make sense at all? Thanks for your help too, Ray, on the other question I posted. :)
