Re: Question about chord symbols & fonts. Please Help!
Message:Well, To my humble knowledge, what you would like to do is only possible manually. To limit the time to manually create new chord symbols that look similar to you previous ones, in the latest versions of Finale, you can duplicate a chord that has similarities to the one you want to create, and modify it manually. That will be a bit faster than to create one from scratch. So : Chord definition dialog box, chord suffix : click select button, select a chord and click the duplicate button, then edit it. My experience, for what it is worth, is that, although it means a couple of hours of work, it really pays off to create a whole chord library just the way you want, save the library and import it (don't forget to delete the existing set of chords) in your templates, which you will also customize to your needs. The same remark applies to other libraries, like articulations, text expressions, etc... I have created my own and they now make me save a lot of time as they appear in all my templates.
