I have Cubase as well as Finale 2000c (Macintosh). Sometimes there is no sound. This often happens after one of these softwares has been on overnight or for a long while. Then when I restart, it's OK. Today, I tried inserting a note with Speedy tool, and instead of a quarter note I got a quarter rest. (Yes, I know how to use Speedy.) This is typical. I know it's a MIDI issue, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how to pinpoint the problem. I am probably the only one in the world with this problem. I am too paranoid to re-install either of these softwares, and no, my computer is not old. It's a G4. Oops, maybe that's considered old. Actually, I never experienced this problem on the previous Mac, which was 7 years older (Performa)
