Message:That was my guess. The keybord is not sending midi data to Finale. This has to be some configruation issue, so you have to trace all the way back to the keybord. Make certain that your keybord is sending midi data via it's ports. Some don't unless you tell them. (for example, my Yamaha will send if you play from the keys, but doesn't send in the "playback" mode." Once you're convinced that you're sending midi data out of the jacks in the keybord, then, yes, you have to look at the cable, the software, and the other configuration issues. As I said, I don't use a Mac, so, I'm not a lot of help. But don't forget or overlook something so simple as you have to tell your keybord to send midi data via the ports.
