Nobody else had a better answer, so I'll give it a try. If all your MIDI data is in one channel then, I don't know a way to have Finale recognize only one line of the piece for notation. Obviously, the way around this is to "record" the MIDI data onto four different tracks so that you can mute three on playback, and via hyperscribe notate the one you want notated. But if you cannot mute the other three on playback via your controller, I don't know of a way to have Finale only recognize the one line you want to notate.

Here's what you can do. You can have Finale notate all four lines through MIDI playback. But, you can set the split-point for the lowest note in the soprano line, then, get rid of the the other line (which should because of the split point set, be the alto tenor and bass lines.)
