Roger,

You have a "standard final barline" at the end of page one of "a multipage piece".
Try an "Update Layout" (Edit menu), and see what happens.

If the other pages disappear at "Update Layout" (because you accidentally deleted them), then the final barline isn't only located at the end of page one - it's located at the end of the piece!

And in that case you can get rid of the final barline by going to

Options menu - Document Settings - Barlines...

- and uncheck the option "Final Barline at End of Piece".
