Message:
In notating piano scores I have frequent occasion to work with notes in different layers. I have encountered two problems that I can't solve: (1) If within a single measure the first occasion of an accidental is within layer 1, for example, and the same note occurs later within layer 2, the MIDI playback won't recognize the second accidental (unless I actually insert a superfluous accidental sign). The same problem occurs with an accidental of two layers tied across a bar line. (2) It seems impossible to tie notes of different layers in two different systems; one must tediously create a slur to function as the end of the tie in the second system and, of course, the MIDI playback is incorrect. Does anyone else have this problem? I hope that someone at Coda is working on this.
