Re: Copying music spacing?

OK I worked this out. It wasn't straightforward. The solution applies to both Finale 2014 and Finale 25.4. It's not so much a bug as a deficiency, see below: * In the Paste Filter, there is an option for "note positioning." After experimenting, I noted this will paste spacing, even changing note spa...

Re: Copying music spacing?

Thank you, yes that's exactly the way I thought I might get it to work. But in Finale 2014, it didn't budge. I didn't consider this may be because of slash notation. . . . But I just went and bought Finale 25, so I'm going to give that a go.

Re: Copying music spacing?

Not a bad option. But I have already done all the note entry. As is my habit, a lot of the formatting gets left after I've done the notes themselves.

Anyway, I just went and bought Finale 25.4. I needed to anyway. Not sure it'll solve my problem though. . . let me know if you have any ideas.

Copying music spacing? SOLVED (bug identified)

Hey All, I'm using Finale 2014. I know, I need to upgrade. But for this software, is it possible to copy/paste music spacing? I have a situation where the first beat needs wide spacing, and remaining beats in the bar need to be narrow (it's actually slash notation). Then I want to use that same patt...

Hey, Ctrl+c is copy in Finale (on Windows), whilst ctrl+v is paste. You can also use the edit menu for copy/paste commands. Note that you must have something selected to copy. You can select a whole bar, or just part of one. If you select a part of a semibreve, then only that much will be copied and...

Almost certainly a bug...

Okay, I'm pretty sure this is a legitimate bug. (Using Finale 2010, with HP activated for playback, Garritan sounds and Aria player as bundled with Finale.) I've almost completed a piece. For my own compositional reasons, I decided to cut/insert a segment from a preceding spot in the piece, so that ...

1) you can definitely already do. 2) you can sort of do. 3) Yes, their MIDI editing is very weak, compared to a sequencer. Most users don't mind too much, because Finale is not a sequencer - it's specialisation is producing score, not audio. It's the same reason, in reverse, that composers don't pro...

window states

Okay, dumb question. Can I make Finale 2010 remember window states? If so, how?

I mean between sessions - after loading from scratch.

Controller 7 not properly affecting volume sliders in Aria

Pertaining to Finale 2009, with the Aria player and Garritan sounds: After canvasing this for a couple of days on this and other forums, and plenty of experimenting, I've still not discovered a way of being able to set the volume sliders in the Aria player to maximum *from Finale,* at least without ...
