For now, I exported it as a wav file and adjusted tempo in Ableton Live. - that works.

I went to the expression tool - selected Allegro Set playback tempo to match - assign - and hit playback and it's still playing back at @ 80 BPM. I'm really confused. - sorry.

If i never used any expression - how would i set it at the first measure. I just want to capture the audio to send to someone for "rehearsal" do I set the tempo in the score? I've looked but haven't found it in the help

it's not starting at that tempo - no tempo changes involved - am I missing something?

My Playback tempo is not responding to BPM set on playback toolbar. Any clues?

Sorry about that, I had checked Sow Active Layer only . I need to use Finale more

I have to copy and paste some accompaniment bars to my score. I can't see all of the layers (combined)

Bill, your assumption was " spot on". I obviously don't re-arrange choral music if possible. Aging choirs more often requires one to adapt!

Heat is the only variable that remains. I'm totally stumped because the problem does not exist now. I even loaded a previous version of my work and the line appeared ( where no line existed before ).

Anyway, No lines... no mouse lock up ...

Surprising enough... Computer was hanging when running Finale and Ableton at the same time ( transcribing a song) Strange behavior, though it was an update problem, restore was no Help. I did a system restore - noticed computer hanging after a windows update from last night.

Bold Black Line is now a very faint blue/grey line

Show Staff Style - switch to off... it goes away.

Lines still there but additional info... I selected several lines of the score, refit measures ( from 3 to 5.. ) The measures all refit, Staff Tool... line still appears BUT: The Line is over these specific measures, so when I changed the staff from 3 measures to 5, the Line moved with the effect me...

Another quirk in 2 days! I opened a score from yesterday, switched to "staff tool" to score some harmony parts, and 2 really heavy lines show up on 2 of my staffs ( out of 3 pages of music) Switch out of "staff tool"... it goes away. Back to staff tool, - menu bar - staff menu - Add Blank Staffs... ...

FWIW... I saved my work as a new file, closed the file, reopened the file, and all normal?

Maybe there' no answer to what happened.
