hi, I know to turn the keyboard on. The issue is that when I hit record, the music is not following the playback. Essentially, when you hit hyperscribe and press record, you hear the counter, then the already entered in music plays and a box apears around the empty bars your about to fill with music...

ok, so what if I enter the vocal line in with my MIDI piano, can I record my voice over the music so that the sound is my voice?

ok I have change my lower staff to treble but I still want both staves to be up an octave, is this still possible?

what about the 8ve smartshape?(octave) I want to have both my treble and bass clef (piano part) one octave up but don't want to have to have the 8ve symbol and following dotted line for both staves.

How do I apply any articulation, expression or smart shape to all staves in the piece without it aesthetically appearing on everystaff? I'd like the symbol to appear only at the top of the score but to apply for all staves.

Apparently i've heard there is normally a box that pops up when you try to extend the duration of a note within a bar when there are already notes following it. It asks you how you want the bar to add the note and push back the notes following, and then it does it properly, This box does not pop up ...

so you do this successfully by adding rests to the bar you'r dragging the music to? What if it's an entire passage, finale does not allow you to select outside out what you can see unless you're highlighting form beginning to end
