[SOLVED] Re: SW 2012 Editing stacked notes

Mike, thanks again for offering your assistance. It was user error. I think I was using the Selection tool alone, without clicking on Simple Note Entry icon first. I watched the video on Note Editing, again, and did just what it said, and it worked. I was trying to learn 2 different notation program...

TIP: Creating Chord Diagrams

I'm new to Finale SongWriter, in fact, I'm evaluating SongWriter and MuseScore. What really drew me to SongWriter was its ability to diagram chords on the fretboard. Which leads to the following Tip. I learned this Tip the hard way, so I want to share it with others. Be SURE to turn on Show Fretboar...

Re: SW 2012 Editing stacked notes

For some reason, I can't get that to work. I hold the CTRL key and when I up or down arrow the entire highltighted stack of notes flashes up or down, as though it's going to move on the staff, but it doesn't... and the highlight remains on the entire stack of notes. Re: Product Forums feedback

I looked at the product page again, and under Support it says, Finale forum. I visited that forum again, and it looks like MakeMusic doesn't have any support forums for anything but full-blown Finale.

That's where you guys come in. Glad you're here to help. Thank you!!

Product Forums feedback

Hey guys, Glad I found these forums, but I want to let you know that when I visit the FInale SongWriter product page and click on forums, it takes me to a completely different website, which is apparently for users of the full-blown Finale product. I found these forums by Googling on: "finale songwr...

Re: SW 2012 Editing stacked notes

Thanks, Peter! I'm using Windows 7 Professional Edition.

I tried both CTRL and ALT and I couldn't get either to work.

I ended up right clicking on the chord of stacked notes, selecting Clear All, and re-entered the stacked notes.

SW 2012 Editing stacked notes

I spent time in the tutorial learning how to enter stacked notes on the staff, but I can't figure out how to edit them. i.e. change pitch of 1 note or remove 1 note. When I click on a note the entire stack of notes is selected. I can never seem to select just 1 note in the stack. Please help. Thanks!
