Re: Weird cursor behavior
Since posting this I’ve been paying a bit more attention… The text that appears actually seems to be random items from the Finder… The name of a file, folder, Drive, etc. Weird!

Re: Default font- create expression dialog
How can I change the default font for the Miscellaneous category of text expressions? … I do not think that you can set a default font for the Miscellaneous category. Right, but somehow the Miscellaneous category does have a default font; I never changed it, yet it's in the Jazz font which I'm tryi...

Weird cursor behavior
Not sure when this started, and it doesn't really affect my workflow, but sometimes the cursor appears as text, with the name of one of my mounted drives...??? see image below.... have any of you seen this?

Default Name PDFs
Finale seems to no longer default the name for Print to PDF files to the file name as it used to; in other words, If my File is named "My Opus", in the past if I did a Print>, then chose To PDF, the file name in the resulting dialog would be "My Opus", now it's just "Untitled". A small thing, but I ...

Re: 27.2.0.142 Breaks JW Plug-ins?
Makes sense. It worked on my M1 Mac before the latest update- guess finale was (automatically) running in Rosetta.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: ARIA Player in AU hosts SOLVED
ARIA runs in Rosetta. If you set the AU host to run in Rosetta, all is well.

ARIA Player in AU hosts- SOLVED
I like a lot of the ARIA content, especially the JABB library- surprisingly good for big band orchestrations... However, since upgrading my system to Monterey/Apple silicon, ARIA player no longer responds to aftertouch within Digital Performer or MainStage. I have a support ticket in to Garritan/Mak...

Keys in Transposed parts
I have a leadsheet for tune in Ab that modulates to E for the bridge. In the Bb part (which is just a duplicate of the single staff in the score, with an independent transposition), these keys of course become Bb and F#. Is there a way to make the bridge appear in Gb instead? When I use the key sign...

Re: rhythm cues above staff non-transpose
Cool- thanks, guys. This works great; my invisible staff is above the "real" staff so I moved the barlines down:

Re: rhythm cues above staff non-transpose
That’s actually working pretty wel; now I wish I could get the left barline to look OK… Seems to be no way to stop it from rendering the left Barline on the invisible staff

Re: rhythm cues above staff non-transpose
Now that I think about it the solution may be an additional staff, no lines, set to not transpose…

Re: rhythm cues above staff non-transpose
Thanks for the reply. I’m looking for a way to not have to do that manually. I want that layer to be non-transposing.

rhythm cues above staff non-transpose
I'm using rhythmic notation in layer 2 for above-staff rhythm cues (entered as concert G 1st space above treble staff). Fine, but if I transpose the part, I'd like those notes to not move- possible?

Re: Grace notes causing weird redraw glitch
Well- you guys are right, no need for the grace notes to be a triplet, I guess I entered them that way because a group of three intuitively is a tuplet.... For me, it does display the bracket and number on triplet grace notes if entered at the beginning of a measure. It doesn't at the end, which mig...

Re: Grace notes causing weird redraw glitch
Layout updated? Update Layout generally (but not always (!) redraws properly, but clicking on a measure disappears most of the page... It does it for me in every view mode. Viewing the Score in either Page or Scroll view, as well as viewing the Part in Scroll or Page view. It's the triplet grace no...

Grace notes causing weird redraw glitch
In the attached, clicking on any measure with the arrow cursor causes measures to disappear. Removing the grace note triplets fixes it, and it's OK if I move the grace notes to the beginning of the next measure. I seem to recall discovering this before? Does it behave that way for any of you? Thanks...

Heard back from MM support- see below- "Please know that this behavior is a known issue that is caused by the presence of grace note tuplets on the page.
