Rebar Music making mincemeat of music when Doubling Durations - a workaround
I'm just notifying other users of a workaround for a rather grievous bug in Finale's "Rebar Music" function. I was trying to double the note durations in a passage of music; I selected the passage and Finale made complete mincemeat of my music. The key signature change was not moved, some sections e...

Thanks a lot! I'll try that, and will definitely report to MakeMusic.

TAB NOTATION shift = not working
In Ukulele TAB notation Finale is not transferring a C major chord correctly. As can be seen in the image, it should be (bottom to top) 0003, but is actually -030. This would not be such a problem if I wasn't working on a laptop with no keypad. I put in CEG into the staff, then add another minim ont...

Re: copying a phrase to the nearest 8th
A friend of mine contacted Finale support about this - here is the answer. I have seen this issue come up and it really is a pain. Fortunately, there's a quick way to fix it: 1. Highlight the measures with ties 2. Go to MIDI/Audio > Retranscribe That should fix it for you. I have reported this probl...

Re: copying a phrase to the nearest 8th
In actual fact quantization settings do not affect this at all! (I just tried changing them). http://www.finaleforum.com/posting.php?mode=edit&f=5&p=37549# It is a bug. In earlier Finale versions this did not happen - it has only happened in the last 3 or 4 releases. How to reproduce the problem (I'...

Re: copying a phrase to the nearest 8th
This link shows an image of the problem. I dragged the phrase across to copy it. This is the result.

Re: copying a phrase to the nearest 8th
This is a rather grievous bug in Finale 2012 - if it is the same bug I have experienced then you are not doing anything wrong. When you are intentionally copying a phrase to a different beat of the bar by dragging it across, in the new phrase all the dotted notes get subdivided into their component ...
