Hal McSwain; Finale 26.2.1.468. Windows 10; 32 gig RAM; i9 Intel. Plenty of storage on SSD.
Quick question: is there a shortcut---or a way to create a keyboard shortcut---to switch back-and-forth between two open documents?
Thanks for your consideration!

Re: METER CHANGE
Hi. Using Finale 26.1 etc. here in Windows 10, plenty of all memory. My engraver assistant engraved "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" in 4/4, and it should have been 2/4, with quarter notes that should be eighth notes---like the opening measure for the first violins should be eighth rest, eighth E, ei...

entering triplets
I've searched the forum for help on this matter, and I can't find the solution. Here's my system: Windows 10, Intel 7 processor, 8 gig RAM, 110 gig of hard disk space. Plenty of power and room. In 4/4 time, I'm entering the following notes: double-dotted quarter note; sixteenth note (2 beats) an eig...

Re: drum track problem
That fixed it. Thanks! Any idea why such stuff gets inserted into a score? I don't recall having done anything in the score. But thanks anyway, perfect, simple, easy fix.

drum track problem
I have a bit of a problem with adding a drum track to an existing score: erratic tempo changes. The work speeds up, slows down, seemingly randomly. I don't have any tempo changes MARKED in the score except the initial tempo. In neither the original score nor the drum track can I see anything that wo...

problem with a pedal tone
I'm having trouble with a pedal tone sounding. In the attached JPG, it shows two voices in the soprano, two in the alto. The high pedal tone in voice one in the soprano will NOT sound (when the whole note begins in the new measure) when I do a playback. The low pedal tone in the voice two in the alt...

Re: highlighting
Mike: Thanks. I went to makemusic, and tried to post a suggestion. Apparently, that element of their web page isn't working. I'll hold on to the suggestion, but if anybody else knows how to post it, please go ahead. Incidentally, I learned the music-color-marking scheme from my conducting teacher, O...

highlighting
Greetings: I have a suggestion for Finale: the ability to highlight sections of music. Here's an application for it: say that I'm teaching a choir to sing the "Amen" from "Messiah" (or any fugue), and I wish to highlight the subject in yellow, the countersubject in green, the answer in orange (or wh...
