The above solution didn't work for me. I have a PC and Finale 2010. "Optimize Normally" followed by Optimizing those systems didn't make the piano left hand go away even though it was empty. Is there another factor, perhaps? I worked around it by allowing margin collision, using Staff Styles to hide...
