How to start a stave , e.g. "voice" at a specific bar
HI All, Using Print Music Finale 2010 on Windows 7 at 64x. The piece I am currently working on has a 12 bar instrumental intro. When I add a "voice" stave, it starts at bar one and is blank and unnecessary for those 12 bars. I tried to figure it out through "help" but could only delete the stave thr...

Re: Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
Hi, Greg here again with PMF 2010 on Windows 7, 64bit. Still trying to figure out how to get Yamaha DGX input noted on both bass and treble clef. Yamaha support group is also on it. BUT... now I can't even get any notes recorded, Could someone please tell me the basics of getting notes recorded from...

Re: Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
Thanks Miker, I figured the ads were part of the business model, and believe me I do not take this site, or you for granted. I am very grateful. Interesting that you should mention a split point. The DGX manual has a section on it, but it seems to be all about playing another "voice". But it's worth...

Re: Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
Ah come on Miker, Zuill, somebody must have a solution to my problem. Also those pesky ads persist. I guess your bosses are monetizing this site and are not very careful about who they allow to put their links in. Today there are two different links. One is the "Watch Video" again. Still frustrated,...

Re: Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
Hi Zuill, Today's link is for a 2017 Hyundai Tucson? Not very tempting as a problem solving site. But I would like to explain my problem more accurately. My Yamaha DGX only records to the treble clef. The Grand Staff is certainly grand as up to ten noted lines will show between the treble and the ba...

Re: Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
THERE WAS AN INSTANT "REPLY" TO MY POST RE: YAMAHA, IT WAS A LINK WITH A RIGHT POINTING ARROW TO "WATCH THE VIDIEO". I CKICKED ON THE ARROW AND MY FIREWALL BLOCKED THE SITE AS DANGEROUS. HOW DOES SUCH A LINK GET INTO THE RORUM AND STAY?

Controlling input from YAmaha DGX
Hi, Windows 7, Finale Print Music 2010 When I input through thumb drive or ethernet cable, music I've composed on my Yamaha DGX, the bass clef and treble clef get garbled: some of the baass notes appear in the treble clef and vice versa. I've looked through the DGX manual but can't seem to find an a...

Re: Copying lyrics
Miker,
Windows 7, Finale Print Music 2010
I've copied the lyrics (i.e., measure) from soprano to alto. No problem, but when I copy lower, the tenor and bass notes go crazy. Where is this repitch tool and how do I use it?
Thanks
Greg

Re: How to open space between staves for lorelines of lyrics
Thanks Miker,
Apologies for the subject line typos, but you got the problem right and the solution. By "end" of line I was looking on the left and then spotted the small box on the first measure on the left.
Anyway, it's all good.
Thanks again for the help and for being there.

How to open space between staves for lorelines of lyrics
Finale Print Music 2010 on Windows 7
Hi,
I thought PMF automatically opened the space between staves as new lines of lyrics are added. Apparently I was wrong.
How do I spread all the choral staves (SATB) to get all my lines in?
Thanks
Greg

Entering lyrics:unedeletable line appears after last word
Print Music Finale 2010m Windows 7 64 bit Hi, I'm entering lyrics and suddenly an undeletable line appears after I've entered my last word when I have to go to the next page. The line continues for several bars on the next page as well. Why does this happen and how do I fix it? The eraser doesn't wo...

Offset repeat symbols
Hi, How do I "offset" repeat symbols? I.,e., I want the instruments (piano +flute) to do a lengthy intro and on the second repeat for the voices to begin, but once I set the "start repeat" symbol for the instrument PrintMusic Funale 2010 (Windows7) places the symbol in the first voice stave as well....

2010 Finale Print Music "Help" button to nowhere
Hi...again, I seemed to have been dropped from the Board and had to reregister (same old username and password worked), Some things have obviously changed in my absence. I am using Finale Print Music 2010 on a 64k PC. Could someone please tell me why the "Help" button, that used to bring up the inte...
