Globally break beams before and after every tuplet
Hi!
Is there a setting somewhere to always/globally break beams before and after every tuplet (including nested tuplets)?
Can't seem to find such an option in Document options/beams or in the tuplet settings.
(Finale v27 on Mac)
All the best!

Nested septuplet causing a problem
Hello! I have run into problems with creating a specific nested tuplet rhythm. (Finale 2014.5 on MacOS) I want to enter an "outer" triplet (3:2 quarter-notes), and within that triplet I want a nested tuplet that is 7:4 eighth-notes over the first four eighth-notes (that is - a septuplet spanning fou...

Entering 128th notes
Hi!
Is there an easy way to enter 128th notes, 256th notes and even faster values? So far I have only figured out how to create them by the "change / note durations" function, and it's a bit cumbersome.
Many thanks!

Re: Hiding first rest in tuplet but showing bracket
Thanks for all the replies! I will try the custom tool solution later. When using H, the tuplet bracket is initially still visible on screen after hiding the rest, but after deselecting the ”view hidden rests” (View / Show / Hidden notes and rests) the bracket disappears. The reason I ask is to be a...

Hiding first rest in tuplet but showing bracket
Hi!
In tuplets that begin with rests; is there any way to hide the first rest within the tuplet - without hiding the tuplet bracket and tuplet number?

Extra staff for an instrument
Hi! How do I add an extra staff for an instrument? For example if I want my flute part to be written on two staves, or if I want my piano part to be written on three staves? In Sibelius there is a convenient "Extra staff" option in the instrument list, but in Finale it seems I must add a new "instru...
