I'm perhaps missing something here--why not create TWO separate parts using voiced linked parts?

I had reported that mis-definition of the cimbasso earlier and did so again recently. It is a NON-transposing instrument. They fixed it for sousaphone, but not yet for cimbasso. The confusion arises because somebody saw "Cimbasso in Bb" or Eb or F or CC, just like tubas. In this case, the definition...
