Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
Thank you, motet! Can you please direct me to more information about the Repitch subtool? I couldn't find any information about it on the internet. It is completely fine to change back and forth between five-line and one-line staves in the percussion notation. I have looked into applying staff style...

Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
Thank you for your support, motet. The patch changes haven't work because I tried to apply the layouts to the notes inputed before setting the layout. Inputing the notes now when the layout is set properly makes everything work perfect. Does that mean I have to transcribe my percussion parts again i...

Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
"In the View menu, pick Show/Percussion MIDI values and see if they're what you expect." No. I'm not getting the expected values. For the layout on the photo above, I'm getting Hand Clap sound only. The value of 71. "In the MIDI/Audio menu, pick Device Setup/Edit Percussion MIDI map and for MIDI Dev...

Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
Yes, I integrated everything you wrote above. The problem might be that I'm not setting up the percussion input map properly to map each instrument to a given input "pitch." However, I played around with this for many hours and read through Finale manual but still can't get this working. Can you ple...

Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
Thanks, motet! I appreciate your willingness to help. However, I'm still getting Hand Clap sound (midi 71) during the playback. In the Speedy Entry on the one line percussion stave, I get options to choose between the Bass Drum, Tam-Tam and Triangle but all I get is the Hand Clap sound. I'm not sure...

Re: Mid-Score Percussion Instrument Changes
Thanks for the reply, motet! I'm still confused though. I edited the percussion layout for the Percussionist 4 (see the attachment). He plays Bass Drum, Tam-Tam and Triangle. When I play the score I hear a Hand Clap which is Midi 71 in NotePerformer. How do I get the patches assigned to B1 to play a...

Therefore, the instrument changes should occur on each stave. Non-pitched percussion instruments are written on the third line (B1). I sh...

Using Different Time Signature Sizes In One Score
Hi, I'm using large time signatures in my orchestra score. There is an extended tuba solo and the large time signatures don't look right there. Is there a way to apply small time signatures only for the tuba solo in the score? I was trying to figure out if it is possible to use staff styles but with...

Staves Moved To The Bottom Of The Page
Screenshot 2023-12-16 at 12.25.19 PM (1)_11zon.jpg Hello, After moving a couple of measures from the left page to the right, Percussion 2 & 3 staves moved to the bottom of the page. I haven't been able to return them back where they belong, between the Percussion 1 & 4 staves. Any ideas how to deal...

Hiding Time Signatures In The Particular Measures For Particular Instruments
Hello, Is there a way to hide the time signature in particular measure(s) ? I know it's possible to hide it horizontally for the whole stave using Staff Tool and vertically using Measure Tool. That however hides the time signature for the whole stave or the whole measure stack. Is it possible to hid...

Re: The Full Instrument Name On The First Page Of Each Movement
Thank you, miker!
That is a valuable information for the future.
Is there anything I can do in my current situation to make it happen, or is separating the movements into separate files the only way to proceed?
Thanks!

Change OF The Staff Style On The Single Percussion Stave
Hi, I am having trouble having a regular note input on the 5-line stave after the application of the 5-line stave to the percussion one line stave. For example, when I do this, I can not enter notes that have sharps or flats. It seems the Finale still considers the stave to be a percussion stave not...

No Percussion Playback
Hello, I'm writing an orchestra piece involving four percussionists. The first percussionist is assigned pitched instruments (xylophone, glockenspiel, vibraphone). Other three percussionists are playing unpitched instruments. When playing back, I can here all the instruments but percussion. What can...
