Hi...I did not...BUT...I had to go to Document - Manage Parts - , and then create each of the parts. And then it worked.
Shouldn't Finale recognize the parts automatically that are in the score? Or is this (Manage parts) the usual procedure?

Hi all....I created a two staff score. The upper staff was a vocal, and the bottom staff was a "rhythm part". All is well and good. But when I try to extract parts, only one part shows up, with both staves on it. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance

The absolute truth is that I've heard they were equally good for my needs. Finale was running a special pricing, and so I downloaded the trial to see how it was. And it seemed very similar to Sibelius, and so after I figured out how to do the basic tasks that I needed, and I achieved them successful...

After 2 days with the trial, I have purchased Finale. One thing wasn't covered under the authorization rules that I have seen. If you don't change computers, but you do install a new OS on your Mac, do you still need to deauthorize Finale and then reauthorize after the new OS is installed? Thanks much

OMG!! THANK YOU! I literally have had a trial finale for not even one full day, so i'm not familiar at all. And THAT was the problem! Hold down the midi note first, and then push the button! Whew! I've got a lot to learn! I've been using Overture for a VERY LONG TIME, and it's almost worthless now. ...

It does not fix it. I use a Korg O1W, that goes through a midi interphase, and from there to the computer. That's probably why "play through audio units" works, and "Play through midi" doesn't. Hmmmmm

HI Thanks.... Play Finale Through Audio Units is what was selected. I just changed it to "Play Finale Through midi". In score manager, a "voice" instrument was selected. Now that I have changed to play audio through midi, I no longer hear a sound when I play the keyboard in speedy. I also don't hear...

I'm not able to get Speedy note entry to work. I'm currently using a trial software on Mac. "Use Midi Device for Input" is checked.
