Is it possible to set this up by using expression tool, not the tempo tool?

Which version and platform do you have, guichemot?
Info might help us figuring out your problem.

Assuming it's same with Mac or Windows(I own Mac).
First go to the "Window" in the menu bar, choose "Instrument List." Then at the "instrument" column, select "new instrument" for the instrument you just added. Then assign a new channel for the instrument. Then select the patch.

I've always thought the same. However, I am certain that there might be some technical issues to be taken care of. Because this can get irritating if you want a make change to just a part and not whole score or vice versa.
Let's see what they would come up with in the future.

How do you control the trill note for 2006? It tends to ignore the key signature or the preceding note.
