Swing the 16th notes.

Is it possible to set this up by using expression tool, not the tempo tool?

Muting the specific layer for the playback

Is it possible to achieve this?
It would be useful especially when using cue notes.

I am not sure if this is exactly what you want so I apologize in advance just in case. I think for your situation, simplest way is to just use the regular grace note and add the brackets later to the note with Text Tool. Unfortunately, you can only attach Text Tool to a page or a measure and not to ...

I am afraid that I am not familiar with Songwriter. I visited the website and there is a good chance that it indeed does not have the staff tool.
I am sorry I couldn't be much help. All I can do is wishing you good luck.
Can anybody else help him?

Assuming it's same with Mac or Windows(I own Mac).
First go to the "Window" in the menu bar, choose "Instrument List." Then at the "instrument" column, select "new instrument" for the instrument you just added. Then assign a new channel for the instrument. Then select the patch.
Hope it helps.

When extracting parts...

It will be great when extracting parts, Finale does not launch GPO for each parts. It will save time and prevent it from eating up memory. I love GPO and I use it all the time for the whole score, but it is rare that I need it for the parts, and when I do, I'd rather set it up myself. I tried turnin...

Thanks for the quick responce Peter! I too have 2006b (Mac) version. I've found out that the problem has something to do with combination of notes. For instance, with one flat in the key signature, I have a two notes chord of Gb and Bb on top. I have a trill marked and for some reason, the playback ...

That would be great.

I've always thought the same. However, I am certain that there might be some technical issues to be taken care of. Because this can get irritating if you want a make change to just a part and not whole score or vice versa.
Let's see what they would come up with in the future.

trill playback

How do you control the trill note for 2006? It tends to ignore the key signature or the preceding note. :?: :(
