Thanks. I suspect she was messing around with the clef tool after the notes were written. I'm half way through the changes.

You probably want to select Chromatic, as in my picture.

You can transpose by any interval you want. If you need help, post a picture of a few of the pitches you have and the pitches you want, and someone will identify the interval for you.

Here's what I have.

His signature says he has Finale 2006. I don't believe the 8 key transposes an octave with that version. I worked with Mass Edit, transpose and I cannot seem to put the notes in the correct position. I tried 1 octave, 1.5, 1.7 etc and none seem to work. I guess I'll have to reposition them by hand.

Notes that are correct but an octave too high can be fixed after the fact. Just highlight the measure(s) with the Selection Tool and press 8 to drop the notes one octave.

Just an update. I went to Page Setup and selected Printer, Selected the XPS printer, clicked on Advanced and selected the Legal sheet. From there when I selected Print to PDF it was legal all the way and I was successful in printing the score to PDF.

My guess is that it is because you are still using Finale 2006. Yes 2006. How much to upgrade? Looks like Export Pages makes a separate file for each page--true? Yes, it makes a TIFF for each page. Does it go through Finale's PDF code, same as Export from the File menu? No and there is Export from ...

I hope this works. Here's the screenshot of the first two pages. As you may be able to see the bottom part of the score is cut off and it looks like it is still selecting letter instead of legal.

Have you tried using the Graphics Tool to Export Pages as PDF? I tried this but only can export it as a TIFF. You need to set the size to legal both in Finale paper size, and in the "printer" page setup. That's the first thing I tried. I play guitar so I always think in terms of chords. I meant the horns in F major. Doing what you suggested should not change the Key for the whole composition?

I set up the horns to F using your method but had to play around with the numbers to get an F chord. Now when I use the Key Signature tool and set it to the end of the piece as per your response for each horn it changes the key signature for the whole piece. What am I missing here?

Me again. I'm still working on this problem. I created the horn in F although the piece is written in 5 flats. When there is a key change to D the horns get changed to 6 sharps. I tried the suggestion to change it back to F at measure 11 but that changes the whole piece back to the beginning to four...

Hi Peter. I tried a mid-clef change on my neighbour's Finale 2011 but it doesn't give me the that option. The help says I must select the area where I need to put the mid-clef but I'm unfamiliar with that plus here version is in French. I tried to find the mass edit tool to no avail.
