Can't change my password
I had to get a new password as I hadn't been on Finale in a loooooooooong time. I have received it and of course it's nothing I would remember, so I want to change it. I type in everything in the appropriate window in my profile, but it won't accept my 'new' password (emailed to me) as my current on...

Re: What should I upgrade to
I see that I can download a trial version of Finale 2012 or Printmusic 2011 (or maybe both? but that would just confuse me!!)
Not sure which one I should download and try, as what I currently own is called Finale Printmusic 2007.
Help?! Thanks!

Re: What should I upgrade to
My guess is that you will want to upgrade to Finale 2012 (and I think that Mike Rosen will agree, since he followed the same "upgrade path"). You should contact MakeMusic about getting an upgrade offer. Chances are that you - since you have PrintMusic 2007 - won't have to pay ...

What should I upgrade to
I currently work with Finale PrintMusic 2007. I have enjoyed using it thus far, but am finding I need more options than it offers - ex. hiding bar lines, hiding staves, etc. What do you suggest I upgrade to? Also how would I do this - do I have to buy a whole new package or can I do this online. Tha...

"Miracle" keyboard - need updated device driver
Carrying on from a past post (hyperscribe) does anyone own a 'Miracle' keyboard and/or know where I could get an updated device driver for it? I was able to get the keyboard to work recently with PM 2007, but today I continue to have delayed notes (which ends up putting a rest at the beginning of th...

Well - the first step was going to Finale PrintMusic page and looking for tech support!! One of my issues while playing was that the notes weren't synching - I would play it on the keyboard and hear it played on the computer a second later. This is what I found - >>My notes are entering late >>You a...

I don't think I did the first time, but maybe the second time (as I was trying 'everything'!!) I installed some updates to Vista and whether or not that was the answer, my files recorded properly and I was able to use them this evening. I may not have had the latest version of WMP, but I seem to now...

I tried to download that and now I can't find it.... I have regularly used and had success with Windows Media Player, but not today!! I have downloaded another program - Finalburner (or something like that) but it only downloaded an image! All I'm getting is screech/static. This is so frustrating as...

Burning Finale .wav files
My problem is I am not able to record/burn songs onto a disc. I have burned many CD's before and many songs that I have recorded from Finale. I am not sure what the issue is... I am using Windows Media Player to burn. All I get when I listen to the burned CD is a screech and 1 track (and not the 25 ...

Clicktracks
Is there a way to insert a clicktrack into PrintMusic songs? I want to count down to the beginning of the song for students to know when to start playing with the recording. Other than adding very bass notes (so it's obvious that's not the actual song) I'm not sure what to do.

Finale PM won't accept notes smaller than 1/4 in hyperscribe
I know I asked about this previously but just can't find the answer. I am using hyperscribe to transcribe numerous piano method book songs, for my students to review during their practise time. I change the quantization settings to 1/8th (or whatever the smallest note is) but it absolutely won't acc...

Intro playing slower than the song
I use PrintMusic and am saving a midi file, downloaded from an online hymnal. My problem is that when I cut and paste measures to make an intro. (and then do other changes of voice settings or whatever) the intro always plays slower than the rest of the song. I try SelectAll and change the quantizat...
Ok. Sorry for misleading you, but I just tried the "use the pedal while you play back" option and it didn't work. You'll have to have it actually playback the recorded MIDI data in order for it to work. I don't know how to find the settings in PrintMusic, so you'll have to find some...

Hearing pedal upon playback
If you mean you want to playback a Finale file and have the sustain pedal be applicable to it in real time when you press it, then it might work if you assign the midi out to your keyboard and the piano instrument in Finale to midi channel 1.
Hi again!! I think the above might be my answer. ...

Playback with pedal
How do I record something with the pedal? On playback it is just 'clunky' notes and no flow!! It is set to 'play as recorded' but no pedalling has been included.
THANKS!

Thank you again Peter. I think I'll stick with the programs I have, as I don't plan to pay the higher price (I'm assuming) for Allegro. I have actually been able to work the Templates and get decent results, making changes to most staves. Thanks again! I'm sure I'll be back with another question soon!
