I had to get a new password as I hadn't been on Finale in a loooooooooong time. I have received it and of course it's nothing I would remember, so I want to change it. I type in everything in the appropriate window in my profile, but it won't accept my 'new' password (emailed to me) as my current on...

I see that I can download a trial version of Finale 2012 or Printmusic 2011 (or maybe both? but that would just confuse me!!)

Not sure which one I should download and try, as what I currently own is called Finale Printmusic 2007.

Not sure what I did right - BUT it works now!! I did look up help in the Tech Support page and made some changes here and there (very technical I know!!) and it works. I am able to play 1/8th notes fine!

Well unfortunately that doesn't work... I have the tempo (both in the toolbar and in hyperscribe count and click) very slow but it's still not accepting it.

No I haven't tried that, and am now FINALLY finished that project However, I do plan on recording more so I can give it a shot next time. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hallelujah!! I installed some updates to Vista and whether or not that was the answer, my files recorded properly and I was able to use them this evening. I may not have had the latest version of WMP, but I seem to now.

I JUST installed some Vista updates with the hopes that something will get fixed! So - I'm going to try it again and will log on tonight (if I remember!) and give an update. (It does now appear to be WMP 11, not sure if it was before the updates or not).

Is there a way to insert a clicktrack into PrintMusic songs? I want to count down to the beginning of the song for students to know when to start playing with the recording. Other than adding very bass notes (so it's obvious that's not the actual song) I'm not sure what to do.

How do I record something with the pedal? On playback it is just 'clunky' notes and no flow!! It is set to 'play as recorded' but no pedalling has been included.

Thank you again Peter. I think I'll stick with the programs I have, as I don't plan to pay the higher price (I'm assuming) for Allegro. I have actually been able to work the Templates and get decent results, making changes to most staves. Thanks again! I'm sure I'll be back with another question soon!
