Re: Courtesy key signature

I have played around with the plug -in and think I have found the answer. I created a coda system with the plug in. I have a key change after the "To Coda" sign. The coda then showed the "new" key instead of reverting to the original key. I then went to the first measure of the coda and changed the ...

Courtesy key signature

Using Windows 10, Finale version 25.3.0.276. I have a piece that has a coda system. The measure where the music goes back to the sign (say end of measure # 50 ) is in one key, but the measure where the music goes back to (say measure 20) is in another key (the original key). I would to add a courtes...

Re: Full measure rest

Or, you can use the plugin Change to Real Whole Rest. It can be in either layer. rest.png Try to keep it centered in the measure, even if you change the height. Lord knows, you don't want to confuse the sopranos! What do I first enter before I try to change it. I have entered various rests then gon...

Full measure rest

Finale 25.2.0.92 on Windows 10 I have a vocal piece in 3/4 time with the soprano and alto on the same stave, but different layers. I have a few measures where on the soprano has a part but the alto does not and I would like to put in a full bar rest for the alto. I can add a dotted half note rest, b...

Tremolos

Using Finale 2007C on Windows I have a piano part where one measure is a "split" measure because the right hand stave temporarily changes clef after 2 beats of a 4/4 time piece. This measure is therefore split into 2 measures of 2 beats each. For the left hand I want a tremolo for the whole 4 beats ...

Re: Measure handles

It seems that with beat spacing only the major beats are shown and with note spacing all the notes are usually shown. (which is what I want). However, note spacing, does not seem to pick up all the notes in the "left hand" part, just all the notes in the "right hand" part

Measure handles

I use Finale 2007 C I am entering a piano piece. When I select the measure tool, the two 'handle' appear on the bar line. One for adjusting the width of the measure and the other handle to adjust the spacings of the notes. However on some layouts, it seems that only the main beats of the measure can...

Repositioning staves

I am using Finale 2007C I have a page of music with 3 staves--piano (treble and bass clef), and one voice. I do not know the exact terminology for all the stave systems, but there are 4 systems on one page (i.e. 12 lines in total) On one of the systems (3 staves--about 5 measures long) I would like ...

How do you know so much??
Thanks

Thanks Peter,
One thing that is still not correct is that, say the second, separate tune is in the same time as the previous tune, I cannot show the time signature at the start of the second tune.

Multiple, different tunes on the same page

I am using Finale 2007. I want to have on the same page, say the trombone part for different hymn tunes. At the end one tune, I want to start a different tune, new key signature, new time signature and measure counting starting from 1 again. i.e. each individual tune is treated as a completely new p...

I am using Finale 2007 with Windows XP. In say 4/4 time how can I make one 1/4 note plus one 1/8 note fit into the time of one 1/4 note?

I can easily get three 1/8 notes into the time of one 1/4 note (or two 1/8 notes), but for the first two 1/8 notes I would like to use one 1/4 note
