There is a 'Click and Countoff' on the Midi menu but that does not do anything when I hit 'Play'.

Aha! The key was using the Selection Tool (the upleft arrow). Now I must get the hang of the Paste part. It gets rather excited and makes all kinds of changes if I don't stay on top of it. Hurrah for Ctrl-z.

I would like it to be a quarter note in length.
However, I would like the C to be a whole note.

Or maybe start with a whole note C, then add the E and the G later in the measure.

Thanks guys. I usually enter chords using the Text Tool. Saves disabling the chord playback. I guess there is no way to put the fret board symbols in one place, e.g. at the beginning or the end, and show just one instance per chord. When the piece has a lot of notes but not so many separate chords, ...

If I add chords using the Chord Tool the chords it plays are weird. Is there a way to voice these chord to sound more like a guitarist would play?

I finally (no pun intended. Nah, pun intended!) found a work-around for this. If I add text to the copyright box in File Info, most of the time Print Music prints it at the bottom of the page.

Funny how it doesn't always print it. I am still puzzling that one.

Is there a way to copy the notes from one measure to another without copying the lyrics? For example, I might change a motif that occurs throughout the song and then want to reproduce the change in various measures. I do not want the overwrite the lyrics in those other measures.

Is there a way to add a blank page to the end of a piece, for example to put lyrics or other notes in a text box?

Attach new text to measure is checked (under the Text menu item) but both it and Attach new text to page are grayed out.

This is a weird one. I have added a text block at the bottom of a page. Sometimes when I edit notes on that page the text block is mysteriously moved to someplace else on the page. Is there a way to change an instrument? I.e. having finished a piece, go back and change the instrument assigned to a staff from tenor to alto sax or acoustic to electric guitar?

Many of my music files, when displayed on the screen or printed, show a different amount of space between systems. Some have are close together and some a have a lot of white space. The staff tool moves all of them and moves them in a random manner to the extent that staff lines over lap the lyrics ...

In the Simple menu, check Create New Measures. Measures will be added automatically, as they are needed.
