merging layers
Hi everybody!
Is there any way to merge the voices of two or more layers in finale 2008 without rewriting music?
(I want layer 2 and layer 1 become layer 1..)
thanx,
arfo

thank you for your super fast reply, at! I know the little v1 has to change in v2 but sometimes it happens sometimes finale puts a flat or a bequadro instead of changing the v1 into v2 or viceversa... Generally I use layers too but I wanted to try a thing... I'll try again but I can't understand why...

multimeasure sign for music
hi everybody,
is there a way to 'tell' that I want the same measure played x times, as for multimeasure rests? In other words: I've only found the one/two bar repeat staff style... what about a n bar repeat staff style?
thanx

Peter you're great! And super-kind! ;) Do you think I could use lyrics tool even for string numbers (inside a circle) using the particular font you mentioned in this post? http://www.finaleforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4896&highlight=fingering (is there a way to see the complete font 'map'? I'm l...

Hi Margot, you can do it, if audio track was played on a regular click: turn finale into studio view then go > midi audio menu > audio track > add audio track > load audio; finale will ask you at which bar (measure) you want the audio track begins to play and other options. Metronome has to be the s...

articulations (and other tools)
Hi everybody, how can I mix all my articulation (and chords, fretboards, dynamics, etc.) libraries in one to have it always ready for use? How can I set the default library for every kind of tool? Is there a way to insert articulations (guitar fingering in my case) all on the same horizontal line? t...

Thank you, Peter! I lost this reply and I found it now, casually... I'll try quickkeys. To assign a keyboard shortcut, right-click the shortcut icon and choose Properties. On the General tab, click in the Shortcut key box and press the key combination you want to use (if you press only a letter or n...

keyboard shortcuts customizing
Hi everybody, I'm looking in the forum posts yet but I'll try to ask too... How can I (can I??) completely customize my keyboard shortcuts in finale 2008? I foun the tg tools plugin but I was not able, for example, to change the way to configure tuplets with the speedy entry tools... I often found o...

Hi Kobitz! Thank you very very much for your answers! I'm writing only music, not tabs or fretboards diagrams, now; so I need fingerings for both right and left hand and strings numbers.. As you say I'm definitely in the steep period of learning! :( I often found out Sibelius to be much more intuiti...

guitar fingering in finale 2008
Hi everybody, I'm having a lot difficulties in understanding the best way to insert fingering in a guitar score; I found in the help manual that I should use the articulation tool.. I tried to do that but, if I have a chord, finale puts every note in the same place even if I click on different notes...
