There is a lot of stuff that doesn't save in libraries in Finale 2011.... ... I submitted a case to MakeMusic, and they agreed that it was an issue. If, and when, it gets fixed is another story. I tried again before reading your answer and I succeeded in creating my pickup bar; I think the mistake was that I was trying to put an eight note instead of a sisteenth... I tried higher resolutions only because with the lower ones I found errors, expecially with pauses (quarters instead of eights...). I'll have to correct errors by hand.
