Existential crisis time. Do you know why it's this way? It's counterintuitive to me. I thought if an element was unlinked, unless I changed its identity (like changing an expression), the part and the score would not affect each other. Whenever I use the pitch bend on my MIDI controller in Finale 2006, instead of each direction on the controller bending the pitch a whole step, as it should be, it bends the pitch an entire octave.

Why does it do this and how do I change it?
