Why would you want to view an entire score at once? I would think that a long score would be reduced so much, that you wouldn't see anything but the green line moving. If you want to view a single page, that's easy enough, by reducing the view. Then, you can see your page, and recognize where the sc...

Piano Guy, Now we're beginning to narrow in. So: You want to each scale exercise on a Grand Staff. Then, you will change the key, or the time, or the exercise notes, and enter the NEXT exercise. Correct? If that's the case, you only need ONE Grand Staff. As you get to the end of your measures, just ...

It sound like you just want to add more measures to an existing staff/line/system. You can do this in a number of ways: If Create New Measures is checked in the Simple menu, just keep entering notes. You can right-click in the last measure, and select Add Measures. You can also go to the Edit menu>A...

PrintMusic won't let you change the default spacing, but you can manually shift the notes by using the Speedy Entry carat and the mouse. Place the carat on the note, and click/hold/drag horizontally. I've never seen Finale put the dots that far over; try re-entering the notes changing the order of w...

Grand Staff is a split staff: think piano, organ, or harp. Make sure that the violins and cello are on different channels. The Wizard should have done this, but you never know... take a look at the Instrument List (Windows menu). Assuming the channels are set correctly, use the Expression tool to pl...

Chord playback is related to the length of the rest (or note) that the chord is attached to. Try this, to see: in one measure, enter 4 quarter rests, in the next, 2 half rests, and in the next, a whole rest. Attach a chord to the first quarter, the first half, and the whole. Play them back. Going ac...

Depends on which program you have. In SongWriter and above, there will be a command "Fit Music" (or Fit Measures, depending on the year version) that will allow you to set the number of measures per line. You will need to look in your help files, to find out exactly where this command lurks. NotePad...
