Re: Adding measures AFTER LYRICS creates lines
The lines are word extensions. In your original, they stopped at the end of the song. When you added the extra measures, they carried forward until they hit a rest or, as you found out, a double barline. (Which, I might add, doesn't always stop it.) You can also get rid of them by going to Lyrics Me...

Re: How to change the Simply Entry Tool default note value?
As the first note of any piece that I'm going to enter could be anything , I'm OK with pressing a button to set the value, as I do for all other notes in the piece. Agreed. But I couldn’t find a way to select the Simple Entry tool without choosing a default duration. And even if you could, you’d ha...

I used the Mac keyboard shortcuts until I switched to Keyboard Maestro. Either way, you can set up to open on your desired duration.

Re: Tie to repetiition 2
My solution for this is to create two scores: one with the tie ends for print, and another fully written out for playback. Not ideal, but it works for me…

As you have it. Fermatas should be closest to the note.

Re: Put lowest note between parentheses
You might also consider reducing the size of the lower (optional) note, rather than using parentheses. A reduction to about 70% works well, and (to my eye, at least) looks less cluttered.

Re: Digital parts - how do they work?
The only reason I brought that up was because of Ander's question about half-page viewing. Normally, I use it in portrait, with the full page. But I'm not an instrumentalist, who may need the larger print on a half page from a distance.

Re: Digital parts - how do they work?
On an iPad with ForScore, turning the iPad to horizontal gives you half-page advances. And a larger scale.

Just as a guess: it looks like you started the cross-staff in the top, and dragged notes to the bottom. What happens if you start in the bottom, and drag the cross-staff notes up?

That’s an issue with Macs only, I believe. It’s been around since F26, if I recall correctly.

Re: Is there a better way to handle enharmonic re-writing?
I don’t think so. If you want finer control, you may just have to do it on a measure-by-measure, or at least a section-by-section basis. Or maybe do them all, and then step through and fix where needed.

Re: Up Dating
You can certainly update both. Nobody can guarantee you won't have any crashes, but there aren't any long standing issues that I know about.
You might also want to update your signature, since it shows you running F26 on Windows.

Re: Db note to C#
What's the time signature? You seem to have 3/4 and 4/4 in the top staff, and 3/4 in the bottom.
Count it up. You have 3 beats in layer two, in both staves. but if you count the layer one notes you come up with 4 beats. Cross-staffing them doesn't change anything, it's still 4 beats.
