If you can find another font that has numbers in slots not needed for HP, that could work. Unless you know how to edit a font, you can't move the slot of that number.
Upon further looking, the Wingdings 2 font also has the number 4 in a circle in slot 360. Try that.

Re: Wrong playback on articulation
HP recognizes slot 109 as a short trill. That's why you're getting that response. One workaround is to create a shape expression. HP doesn't consider those for playback.

Re: Creating linked part staves from a single staff
I think having the 2nd staff in the score a duplicate of the first staff should work (hidden, of course). When all is done, just copy/paste to the second staff. Have both staves in the part, and use staff styles to hide the unneeded layer on each staff.

Re: Cannot change 6/8 signature to 3/4
Let's try this a different way. Here's a short 6/8 sample file. Can you change this to 3/4? If so, then there's nothing wrong with the program, but maybe something's up with your file. If you can't change it, then maybe your preferences are corrupt.

Re: Selective Staff Width
The one line is the regular staff line. The extra line is the thicker Smart Shape line. I adjusted the settings of the Smart Shape line to get the beginning of the System Continuation to match the regular staff line. I need to manually nudge the line up with the arrows, as centering is not automatic...

Re: Selective Staff Width
I maintained the 1 line staff to make it easier, so the 0 line staff idea was bad. It's not that hard if you set up the line properties correctly.

Re: Cannot change 6/8 signature to 3/4
If you want to change 6/8 to 3/4, I am imagining each 6/8 will be 2 bars of 3/4, so the values will have to double as well. Jari's JW Meter and Rhythm plugin can help there.

Tempo is as the expression says: 130. What sample rate are you using? What Buffer size? Zuill P.S.: I just re-read your original post and I say you are talking about playing through an external keyboard. I am playing the internal sounds. So, try the internal sounds and see what behavior you get. Sen...

Re: import .wav file rendered from Band-In-A-Box
I tried several wav files and some work and some don't I think the sample rate might be one of the issues that might prevent a file from being able to be loaded. One that worked was a wav file created from a Finale file.

Re: Justified Lyric Spacing on Lyric Sheet?
If you experiment with changing some of the settings as I have suggested, I think your manual edits will be greatly reduced. Keeping the customer happy is important. The less time you have to spend on the project, the happier you will be. So, when 2 people are happy, that is good. If you are not sur...

Re: import .wav file rendered from Band-In-A-Box
Something else to keep in mind: it's hard to sync up Finale notation with an audio file, even if the tempo is steady. I have found issues in doing so with Human Playback on, at least in the live form. Even applying HP via the MIDI tool feature would probably not work, as it will introduce tempo vari...

Follow-up: The warning comes when in Google Chrome. When in Microsoft Edge, not pop-up warning. Maybe someone with Windows would compare those 2 browsers and see what happens. It is a McAfee warning. That subscription came with my Dell, and has expired, but it still has some usefulness to detect bad...

Convert it to mp3. I have my system set to 44.1 khz. To match, the mp3 should also be 44.1 khz. Otherwise, the speed will be off. I haven't tried 48 with 48, but you could also try that. Generally, 44.1 is standard for mp3, AFAIK.

Re: Timer
If you compare the Check Elapsed Time with the Playback Counter when you press the button to take you to the end of the piece, are they the same? Also, try with and without HP on.

Re: Justified Lyric Spacing on Lyric Sheet?
Not really. If there are 7, or 8, those will be evenly spaced, if not letting the lyrics affect spacing, Even spacing of the hidden rests gives the justified look. When 8 rests are evenly spread across the measure, the last one is further to the right than the last rest in a measure with only 6 rest...

Re: Justified Lyric Spacing on Lyric Sheet?
The problem with this file is that there are different numbers of 8th rests in each measure. The first 2 were the same, but from there on, it varies. There are different ways to work this. One thing is regarding what's chosen in Documents/Music Spacing. Unchecking Lyrics and Chords, as well as hidde...

I'm so glad I use this forum, as the last thing I need is getting compromised by MakeMusic's website. I j...

Re: Beats per Measure in Piano Music
Generally, this is what importing a MIDI file does. There are sometimes more advanced methods of saving time with this, but don't count on it. If you had a MIDI file we could test, we might be able to see, but don't hold your breath. When recording in real time with MIDI, if using a sustain pedal, t...

Re: Unable to hide a cautionary key signature
Zuill, I think the settings in Preferences are not document specific; so my guess is that you have "Display the actual measure number" selected, which I see does allow you to hide a stubborn cautionary signature. I noticed that in my document, all the measures are included in the numbering. But mea...

Re: Demo available to download now
I usually wait for the product to be out for awhile and see how the early-birds are faring. I'm not in a hurry. v26 is just fine for now. I started using Finale with 3.0 or 3.1 back in 1996 and I've weathered the many Finale storms. Waiting is my strategy, generally, and has served me well.
