On the old forum there were separate Mac and Windows sections. I know that some people thought the two sections should have been combined, which is what has been done here, but I often read a question only to get to the end of it and realize it is Windows-specific. I wish that either the two could be in different sections, or at least in the list of topics there would be a way to identify whether it's a Windows or Mac question.

Bill,
The quick way would be to glance at the poster's ID at the right. It will (should) tell you if they are using Mac or Windows.
Personally, I like the combined forums. Most of the "how to" questions are universal.

Mike,
But to see the poster's signature you have to open the topic. I'm asking that the signature somehow be included in the list of topics.
I get it that many of the questions are universal, but just this morning there were several that were not.

And for some reason, not everyone has the info in the pane to the right of the post. Maybe some of the profiles were created before that was a forum requirement.

I read both sides.
I'll pass along the request, and see what admin says. I think the notation/playback split is more valuable than the platforms, though.
