I don't use Finale on a regular basis and have recently upgraded to Version 27, Windows.
I'm noticing that I cannot "cut and paste" lyrics in the lyrics window as I have done in previous versions.
Is this a bug or has Finale been changed in some way to inactivate this feature?

It works for me, but I’m on a Mac. Let’s see if any Windows users chime in.

Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V and the Edit pull-down menu work for me on Windows V. 27. Ctrl+Insert/Shift+Insert do not; they should, but they never have.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I'm not sure I communicated my issue clearly.

In previous versions of Finale for Windows, I was able to copy text from a Word file and paste in to the lyrics window. Also was able to cut, copy and/or paste lyrics in the lyrics window. With the upgrade to Version 27 I am not able to do any of that now which means I'm having to spend a lot of time typing and/or retyping lyrics. This is very frustrating and time consuming especially if I type lyrics for Verse 1 and Verse 2 in their respective "windows" then decide they should have all been typed under the the "Verse 1" window. I can't copy, cut or paste them in the Finale lyrics window, nor can I paste them from a Word file after copying or cutting them in Word. If this is truly a bug, I hope Make Music fixes it soon on an update.

I tried it out, and everythink works fine. I can copy and paste from Word and into different Verses

Finale 27 on windows 10
Finale 2009 and 27/German on Windows 10

Like Peter, I am able to copy from Word and paste into the lyrics window, and copy and paste between verses.

I assume you've rebooted your computer.

Can you copy and paste in other applications?

Are you having trouble with all documents, including a brand new one?

Have you tried resetting your preferences?
