Hello,

I have written my music into Finale Notepad 2012. I want to play 5 verses of the music i.e. repeat it 5 times or at least put it on repeat and I can stop it when necessary.
I have put the repeat sign at the beginning and the end of the music and when I play it back all I get is a playthrough once with no repeats.

I have also tried saving it as a Midi file as well and that plays but again only once.

ANy tips please ?

The repeats created in NotePad are "layout only", not "playback".

NotePad does not have the ability to create repeats that play back.

To get the ability to create repeats that play back, you will have to upgrade to SongWriter or higher.

Workaround:
Delete the repeat signs, and add extra measures to make room for 5 verses of music.
Copy the music into the added measures.
The layout will take a lot of space, but you will get the desired playback.
Consider having two copies of the document:
one copy for layout, and one copy for playback.

Thanks Peter - I can see that will work well.
Thanks - I am just trying this for the first time but maybe I will upgrade at some point if it seems worth it.

Thanks again.
