In the "Finale language" it's called a tremolo.

The full Finale has a plug-in that can do the work for you.

Unfortunately, Allegro doesn't support plug-ins.

I don't know, whether Allegro has a built-in functionality similar to the Finale plug-in.
However, the tremolo can be created manually, at least in the full Finale:

1) The layout is created as a special tuplet, namely "2 Sixteenths in the space of 2 Halves".
The closed noteheads are replaced with the open noteheads used for half-notes.
With the Special Tool called "Beam Extension Tool" the beams are extended "inwards" (this step is not absolutely necessary).

2) The playback is created with playback notes in Layer 4.
You can hide the Layer 4 playback notes with the staff style "Blank Notation: Layer 4".

If Special Tools isn't available in Allegro try this: In Speedy Entry tool, click on the measure to open the edit frame, position the cursor on the second note with the arrow keys and type the slash key "/"
