Hi All,
This seems like a silly question, but I am having great difficulty with this. I have a final bar line on the last measure, even though when I right click it says "Normal barline". I want to create a new page and remove this final bar line. I don't see a way to do that? How do I create a new page?
thanks,
B

In the full version of finale there is a possibility to set the final bar to have a final bar line always.
To create a new page you have to create new measures! Add measures with the measure tool, this will solve both your problems.

Hmmmm.... I only see the ability to insert measures. If I highlight the last measure, and insert 20 measures, it only inserts 4 and my last measure is gone. There is no new page. I am using the Allegro 2007 trial. Is there some restriction on the number of pages in the trial? But it's supposed to be fully working for 30 days. This is very strange!

Never mind... I figured it out. I thought you could use the hand tool to move across pages, but you actually have to hit the page next button. Duh!
Thanks Peter.

I strongly recommend that you DO NOT BUY Allegro 2007. It appears to be abandonware. They have given no indications that it will be upgraded. Not only have there been many improvements since then, but you will not be able to open files created by people in 2008, 2009, and 2010, without a lot of trouble.

Oh really? Good to know. Looks like Allegro was a lower cost version of Finale, but I could probably do everything I want with PrintMusic?

I've been using PrintMusic since the 2004 version. It does just about everything I need, although sometimes, you have to jump through more hoops than you would with Finale. It does have a few limitations, though.
I'd suggest that you download the demo, and try it out. Absolutely go through the tutorials, because there has been a major change in the interface since the Allegro 2007 version.
