Hello,
I use PrintMusic 2007 and 2011 and create often sheet music including guitar chords. Recently I've need an Gmaj7 chord but PrintMusic doesn't know the Gmaj7 chord and shows an error message.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Thanks for any assistance.

It works for me, in 2011. Try this: enter G:0 (that's G, colon, zero.)
That will take you to the screen of all loaded chord suffixes. Scroll through the list. You should see the maj7 listed, and you can select it, there. Take note of the number in the box. The next time you want the chord, enter G:number.
If you can get it that way, contact Tech Support and let them know. It might be something in the German keyboard.

I don't know PrintMusic, but the issue here is the chord suffix (= maj7), not the chord root (= G).
If the suffix maj7 is not available in the dialog box Chord Suffix Selection*), use one of the equivalent suffixes, e. g. ma7 or ∆.
Chord suffixes are document specific.
If the desired suffix is not present in the document, try another template or document style.
In my own copy of Finale 2011, the document style Engraved Style (Maestro Font) contains the suffix maj7 (in the font Times New Roman).
The document style Handwritten Style (Broadway Copyist Font) contains the suffixes ma7 and maj7 (in the font Broadway Copyist Text)
The document style Jazz Font Default (Jazz Font) contains the suffixes ma7 and ∆ (in the font JazzCord).
*) To get to the dialog box Chord Suffix Selection, double-click the score, and click "Select…".
Or - using the entry mode Type Into Score - type G:0 followed by return.
When you know the suffix number (e. g. 7), you can type the chord as G:7.

Thanks a lot for the fast response.
I've try your suggestions and yes, I've found in PM2007 a suffix "Maj7" but in capital. This was the problem. I've wrote "maj7" in lower case so PM2007 didn't find the suffix.
One thing is strange. If I create a music sheet with PM2011 then PM2011 has the suffix "maj7" in lower case in the dialog box. But If I load a music sheet in PM2011 that was created with PM2007 the dialog box is different and did not offer the suffix "maj7" in lower case but "Maj7" in capital.
Could it be that the chord dialog box is linked with the music sheet?

Try this:
Open a PM2011 document (with a maj7 chord).
Copy a measure that contains a maj7 chord.
Open with PM2011 a PM2007 document.
Paste or Insert the measure you copied, including the maj7 chord.
(You can delete the measure you pasted)
Save the document.
Now the saved document contains the maj7 chord in the document's Chord Suffix Selection, and you can enter the maj7 chord everywhere in the document.
