Using PrintMusic 2014 on a Mac Mini with an Apple Smart Mouse.

I'm a newbie, so bear with me. I'm trying to add articulations to my score. I've read that I should be able to add an articulation, such as an accent, and then hold down the letter A key while clicking on another note to continue adding accents. This does not work for me. As a matter of fact, when the articulation selection window opens, there are no letter assignments shown for any of the articulations. Must I do something to activate metatool? What am I missing?

Welcome to the forum!

Metatools are found in the full Finale, only. Not available in PrintMusic. Sorry.

Aha! Well, that explains it. Thanks.

The method I use when there are a number of notes with the same articulation in a row is after selecting the articulation tool is to draw a box around the notes (windows platform, hold down the left mouse key) I want to articulate with the same mark then select the articulation.

It works the same on a Mac. It's only good for contiguous notes, but it can save time in those situations.
