Im sorry with all these questions because Im new to notation

How can I skip a note and insert a tie, thanks!

That's not a tie, it's a slur. Although they look a lot alike, they are completely different tools and functions.

A tie is used with two notes of the same pitch, to signify that the note is held for the duration of both notes. Look at the second syllable of "ever" on the first line of your example. A slur, on the other hand, in the case of vocal music, would indicate that a single syllable is held, while the tone changes, on the word "know."

To draw a slur in Finale, choose the slur tool from the smart shapes palette. If it's a simple, two note slur, just double click on the first note. For a three note or longer, it's a bit trickier. Double-click on the first note, but don't release the mouse button after the second click. Hold the mouse button down, and move the mouse to the right. As you pass over the second note, you will see it briefly selected with a shaded box. Keep moving to the right until you see that shaded box on the last note (the third note, in your case.) Release the mouse button.
