Controlling input from YAmaha DGX

Hi,
Windows 7, Finale Print Music 2010

When I input through thumb drive or ethernet cable, music I've composed on my Yamaha DGX, the bass clef and treble clef get garbled: some of the baass notes appear in the treble clef and vice versa. I've looked through the DGX manual but can't seem to find an answer, does anyone here have one?

Thanks

Greg

THERE WAS AN INSTANT "REPLY" TO MY POST RE: YAMAHA, IT WAS A LINK WITH A RIGHT POINTING ARROW TO "WATCH THE VIDIEO". I CKICKED ON THE ARROW AND MY FIREWALL BLOCKED THE SITE AS DANGEROUS. HOW DOES SUCH A LINK GET INTO THE RORUM AND STAY?

I don't see a link anywhere. Where is it?

Hi Zuill,

Today's link is for a 2017 Hyundai Tucson? Not very tempting as a problem solving site.

But I would like to explain my problem more accurately. My Yamaha DGX only records to the treble clef. The Grand Staff is certainly grand as up to ten noted lines will show between the treble and the bass clef but not one note IN the bass clef. I tried opening another channel in the MIDI device thinking that one might go to the bass clef, but got the error message that the DGX can't be opened twice.

How do I activate the bass clef?

Thanks

Greg

Ah come on Miker, Zuill, somebody must have a solution to my problem.

Also those pesky ads persist. I guess your bosses are monetizing this site and are not very careful about who they allow to put their links in.
Today there are two different links. One is the "Watch Video" again.

Still frustrated,

Greg

I don't know PrintMusic. If you were having a Finale issue, I might be able to help.

The owner of the site is free to accept ads. You don't have to click on them. After all, you pay nothing to be here.

There are also such things as ad blockers.

I don't know anything about using a keyboard to record MIDI. But if it only records to treble staff, I would suspect a problem at that end. Is there no way to specify a split point?

Thanks Miker,

I figured the ads were part of the business model, and believe me I do not take this site, or you for granted. I am very grateful.
Interesting that you should mention a split point. The DGX manual has a section on it, but it seems to be all about playing another "voice". But it's worth testing. I'll let you know how it turns out.

With respect,

Greg

Hi,

Greg here again with PMF 2010 on Windows 7, 64bit.
Still trying to figure out how to get Yamaha DGX input noted on both bass and treble clef. Yamaha support group is also on it.

BUT... now I can't even get any notes recorded, Could someone please tell me the basics of getting notes recorded from my electronic piano. I've messed around with the settings too much methinks. I'll settle for everything recorded on the treble clef at this point.... then cut and paste. BTW I di have "Use Midi device for input" checked on Simple Entry.

Thank you

Greg
