I am working on a bass clarinet part (in concert B) which I would like displayed in the key of C#. I set the part to concert B but the key signature shown is Db.
Any ideas on how to force PrintMusic to display the key signature for C#?
I want to enter the part in it's proper key because I am going to transpose it to bari sax.
Thanks

Does the transposition drop-down list (in the Score Manager) allow for an option called Other? If not, your only option is to extract the part and then change it in the extracted part. I don't use PrintMusic, but I researched the manual. PrintMusic has limitations as to what it can do.

Sounds like the piece is in B major concert. If PrintMusic does in fact have "Other" transposition, then all you need do is leave the transposition at Interval=8, Key Alter=2, but uncheck "Simplify key."

I'm obviously unclear on the concept, but is this what the poster wants?

There is an Other option in the drop down, but I can't select it. It looks like I will have to work around the hard way.

Thanks, Motet.
Jeff, I had the same result. “Other” is there, but it seems not to be available in Score Manager. And it isn’t in the transpose options, either. So, it may be another of the PM limitations.
