Does anyone else use PrintMusic to work up sheet music from MIDI files? I mean using File->Open not Import->Midiscore.

I often find that if I insert notes, e.g. if I want to change a crotchet into two quavers, the volume of the new note(s) is very low, almost inaudible. Can anything be done to change the volume? I'd accept any kind of convoluted or dirty trick that works.

I appreciate that the MIDI file has a lot of information that is not displayed or editable in Printmusic, including note duration and velocity, and that PrintMusic still keeps this information somewhere behind the scenes, even if you save as a .MUS, exit, and re-open the file.

What I would like to do is be able to save the score with only the information that is visible in the score, i.e. strip off the extra MIDI info.

Any ideas appreciated.
