How do I input this rhythm? It won't let me do it!

I am in 4/4 time. I am having trouble putting in 3 quarter-note triplets followed by quarter, quarter, 8th, 8th (under the triplet grouping). The displayed image is what I am trying to put in (and I had to use Photoshop to make it).

Is there an exact way of getting Finale to accept this? The problem occurs when I try to switch from the quarter notes to the 8th notes.

Ah, once again a user who can't enter a tuplet at the end of a measure.

Just some wild guesses:

You are not entering notes with the Speedy Entry Tool, but rather with the Simple Entry Tool, right?
(The problem doesn't occur in the Speedy Entry Tool)

You are not entering notes with the computer keyboard and the entry caret, but rather with the mouse, right?
(The problem only happens when you use the mouse)

You have "Check for Extra Notes" selected in the Simple Entry Options, right?
(The problem happens when "overfilling" a measure isn't allowed)
