Is there a way to add a blank page to the end of a piece, for example to put lyrics or other notes in a text box?
...and have it stay there!

No. The only workaround that I can come up with is to save your finale file as a PDF. Create your other page in Word, or whatever you use, and save that as a PDF. Then, combine them as one document. (I use PDF Creator. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator It's free, and works very well for things like this.)
