Hi,
I'm transcribing a plainsong chant into Finale Songwriter 2010 and it unfortunately has a variable amount of notes per measure. If I try and just go with the regular measures, I get some weird spacing issues. I know that there is a plug-in to deal with this for Finale, but is there a way to do this with Songwriter? Either do away with the time signature and beats per measure, or just do a free form input of notes and have no measures, just staves? Or some other way?
Thanks!
variable notes per measure

No, sorry. Not in SongWriter, or PrintMusic, either. Full Finale only.
At least, not for print. You could change the time signature as needed for each measure (23/8, followed by 19/4, etc.) but there is no way to hide the time signatures. This will work for playback, though.
