You can see in the image, there is a line on the left side that is connecting..I would like to remove this.

How could I do this?

The two staffs are grouped. You can highlight and ungroup them in Staff tool.

You going to have to post your file to get an answer.

PianoGuy324,

Do the notes we can see, belong to the same measure?

If that's the case, then the vertical line is the measure's "left barline".

You can make a "left barline" invisible with the Measure Tool:

Measure Tool.
Double-click the measure.
In the Measure Attributes, for the "Left Barline", choose "Invisible".

Peter just beat me to it.

This needs to be taken care of with the measure tool. The left side of staves must almost always have a line.

Measure tool: left barline: invisible

Does this do the trick?

Another possibility exists in Document options->barlines. Uncheck Left barlines : display on multiple staves.
But the 2 staves will remain simultaneous, associated in playback. I hope that's what you want.

So now that the question has been answered, I have to ask the OP: Why?
Without the connecting barline, won't it be more difficult for a part to spot their line in the next system?
