When I open a document, sometimes the different palettes are on more lines than I left it last time I opened it.
Is there a way to fix the order the Palettes, so I can use always the same look?
I appreciate your help

Disclaimer:
I am using the Mac version.
In the Windows version the program’s behaviour could be different.
When you have arranged the palettes as desired, go to
File menu > Save Preferences
That should do it.
As a test, close the Finale document. *)
Now the palettes are gone, I suppose?
Next, open a Finale document.
Now the palettes should come back, and appear as you arranged them.
*) Instead of closing the Finale document you could also quit Finale.

Perhaps the Preferences file is corrupted.
The Win Finale preferences file is called finale.ini.
It resides in the Finale 2012 folder.
You can delete your Finale Preferences to reset settings back to what they were when it was originally installed.
1. Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MakeMusic\Finale 2012
The AppData directory is hidden by default, so you will have to set the option to display hidden files before you can see it in the Explorer.
2. Look for the "FINMIDI.ini" and "Finale.ini" files
3. Drag them to your desktop
4. Relaunch Finale, and you will be set to go. When launched, Finale will build a new, fresh Preferences file.
Once you see that Finale has been started successfully, you can delete the old INI files you dragged to your desktop.

Thank you, Peter, but being a problem related with the computer it overcomes me.
The route for Finale in my computer is different and I cannot find the "FINMIDI.ini" and "Finale.ini" files.
Thank you, anyway
