Hi

I have a great issue. I tried the demo version by writting a piece and afterwords I installed the original version. The main thing is that the programs do not communicate and I cannot find a way to transfer my piece from demo to original version. Please any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

How are you trying to transfer the piece? You should be able to do it. I would have saved the file in the demo, and opened it in the full program.

If you are doing anythng differently, please describe exactly the steps you are taking. Also, tell us which programs and demos were used.

Your signature says Finale 2008. Anythng created in a newer version won't open in that.

Hello again

I have the demo edition 2007 and when trying to save it informs me that "this feature is not available in the demo version".....I have the laptop on for 3 days now.....Then I installed the 2008 edition....

Can we find at least one way (even by coping and pasting every measure....)?

If your demo is older than 30 days, saving becomes deactivated. Starting from the day of the first launch of the demo.
The "full program" is just the same one as the demo, but authorized (+ Garritan sounds).
The only way copy/paste would work is to launch your most recent version of the program, create a new document, then open the other document in that version, and copy/paste into the new document. Both documents have to be opened by the same version of Finale for copy/paste to work.

And this is 2016. How is it you are working with programs from that long ago?

Unless I simply missed something, FILE>OPEN should have done the trick with the saved file off the demo version, should it not?

He couldn't save the document in the demo version, because it had expired.

Had he saved it before the demo expired (in 2007?) he could have opened it in 2008.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt as to the legitimacy of his program, since there is a copy of F2008 on eBay, for $30.
